Older Guy- How do I appeal to a younger woman?
Hey, some help would be appreciated. I’m in my mid-30’s and I’m very interested in a girl who is 21. I’m a (relatively) successful executive type and she used to work with me. While we worked together, we established a connection – we have alot in common (both creative type people, both with a dry sense of humor, both love the same movies, etc) and I’m as comfortable talking to her as anyone I’ve ever met. About me briefly- I’ve been in plenty of relationships, long and short term. I’ve been engaged but never married. I’m fairly attractive, tall, blues eyes, well proportioned but I certainly don’t have the physique I had when I was 20. I have other people I date and have no problem talking to anyone but this is one girl I cant just ignore.
When we met, she had a boyfriend and I respected that. She broke up with him, we went out, then I found out she was kind of seeing somebody else. She’s been with him for a while and we just got re-acquainted- the spark is still there. She says she hates the guy and doesn’t want to be with him. I’m concerned I’m either too old or not good looking enough or whatever to actually attract a woman who I find to be beautiful, smart and funny, everything I’d want.
Any suggestions on how someone my age can really appeal to someone her age to the extent that age won’t be an issue. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the responses. I wanted to add briefly. Yes, she’s very mature- my general dating range is 25-35 and I rarely if ever deviate from it. With her, I don’t even notice the age difference. She’s something special. Second, I’m ok with (and she knows I’m ok with) the fact that we couldn’t date seriously right now- she needs to get out there and enjoy herself and date people and find herself and all of the other things people do around 20. I really just want to spend time with her- romantic time, yes because that seems to be our spare- but its more like I want to be able to take her out on dates, drag her to plays and museums etc. I love spending with her and unfortunately, I’m unable to do so due to this BF.
